Benedetti unwraps detailed plans for RIBA House of Architecture

Benedetti Architects’ proposals for the RIBA’s planned £58.8 million refurbishment of its London headquarters have been unveiled at a second round of consultation

Visuals and consultation boards unveiled this morning (19 November) provide further details about the comprehensive refurbishment of the Grade II*-listed headquarters at 66 Portland Place, including the first visuals of internal changes.

The latest Benedetti plans will create a separate entrance for the café from Weymouth Street and a ‘generously sized’ entrance to the library, matching original features inside the George Grey Wornum-designed building. The main exhibition space will move upstairs, becoming a second events space.
